Role Overview

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding the client base, identifying new market opportunities, and contributing to the overall growth strategy of the organization.

This role requires a blend of business development, strategic sales, relationship management, and team leadership capabilities.


Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Revenue Growth
  • Generate new business opportunities through networking, referrals, prospecting, strategic outreach, and market research.
  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline.
  • Drive end-to-end sales activities from lead generation to closure.
  • Consistently achieve and exceed revenue targets.
  • Identify and develop new markets, industries, and business opportunities.

Strategic Sales & Client Acquisition

  • Understand client business objectives and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Conduct discovery meetings, presentations, and proposal discussions.
  • Prepare commercial proposals and negotiate contracts.
  • Develop long-term relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
  • Convert prospects into long-term clients.

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, guide, and mentor business development executives and sales team members.
  • Drive accountability, ownership, and performance within the team.
  • Monitor sales performance and ensure achievement of team goals.
  • Support recruitment and development of future sales talent.

Modern Sales & AI Adoption

  • Utilize AI tools, automation platforms, CRM systems, and modern sales technologies to improve sales effectiveness.
  • Continuously explore innovative approaches to lead generation, outreach, and client engagement.
  • Stay ahead of market trends, buyer behavior, and emerging technologies.

Market Intelligence

  • Track industry trends and competitor activities.
  • Identify growth opportunities and emerging market demands.
  • Share actionable business insights with leadership.

Candidate Profile

Mandatory
  • 4–10 years of experience in Business Development, Sales, Client Acquisition, or Enterprise Sales.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving revenue and business growth targets.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Strong commercial and business understanding.

Preferred

  • Experience in IT Services, Software Sales, Technology Services, Digital Marketing, Consulting, or Agency Sales.
  • Experience managing a sales team.
  • Experience handling domestic and international clients.
  • Strong understanding of modern sales methodologies and CRM platforms.
